Desired Results Developmental Profiles (DRDPs)
About DRDPs |
A tool called the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) is used to assess the development of children. The DRDP consists of:
The LOCDC staff use the DRDP assessment tool and observations of your child to plan curriculum for our classrooms. This helps build on the child’s skill levels and confidence. At our site, this assessment instrument is completed twice a year on each child enrolled in the program. In addition, parent/teacher conferences are held after each assessment completion to share the results with each family. We look forward to this time together to share all the exciting things your child is accomplishing and create an individualized action plan to help best support your child in the program and at home. |
Parent Surveys |
Annually we distribute the Desired Results Parent Survey to parents, collect the surveys from parents and analyze the results. The parent survey results are used to plan and conduct activities to help parents support their child’s learning and development and to meet the family’s needs. Additionally, the results and analysis of the parent survey are used as part of the program’s annual self-evaluation process.
